Music: A language we all speak.

I was inspired to create this piece from an art exhibit entitled, Embrace. Objective was to imagine a world that embraces.

I see music as a medium that transcends and connects us all. Regardless of gender, culture, language, religion, etc.

The upcycled cassette tapes do in fact have various sounds and music on them from all over the planet. The melodies shall remain a mystery - Perhaps it is the melody playing in your mind right now?

The music embedded in these cassette tapes created by individuals of all colors connect you and me. Rise above the barriers of societal norms that are oppressive. You + Me = We

Art piece is 100% hand made of mixed wood species, upcycled cassette tapes, and spray paint.
